Apple Iphone 4s

Hi

I have the above and for the past few days I am not able to check emails on the phone as when i press the icon get blank screen and the back to home page showing all icons

Can any one advise what i do as not want lose any icons that have downloaded and pictures on the phone

Have you tried powering off the iphone and switching it back on? Apologies if this is too simplistic a suggestion

hold the top button and home button until you see the white apple simple and let the phone restart,


also make sure all app are closed by double clicking the home button and swiping off

done both as requested and still the same issue
as not want to lose photos on the phone but willing to lose apps which have downloaded

Back phone up in iTunes and copy photos off. I tunes can back up aps
Delete all email settings and then set them up again before restoring phone is the way I would go. Advice given without knowing if it will work or not though
