Medication is fine at any quantity if you have a letter from your doctor.
Also take your prescription repeat forms and bag it separately from any other liquids.
Cosmetics within the restrictions should be fine too but even if you get them through, don't bank on getting them back out again - I had a small bottle of scent ditched by security on my way back form not very far from Bergamo a few months back. Wet razors - I don't know, I usually take a small electric and buy anything else I need there.0 -
Yes, medication is fine but you may need to get a note from your GP to cover yourself. From the GOV website:
https://www.gov.uk/hand-luggage-restrictions/essential-medicines-and-medical-equipment
Razors, like disposable ones, I've never had issues with.
Deodorants, if in aerosol or rollon/stick form are counted as liquids, so must meet the 100ml (no more than 1L total) limit.
Most airports have Boots after security though, and I believe all airlines now allow you to bring an additional carrier bag from duty free after security in addition to your hand luggage suitcase.0 -
Medication is fine to bring onboard. Keep them in the original packaging if you can.
Deodorants such as sprays and roll-ons come under the liquid restrictions and must be in the clear resealable bag. Deodorant sticks (solids) do not count towards the liquid restrictions.
A normal razor is fine to bring onboard, but you can't bring the old-fashioned loose bladed razors.0 -
Another point to be aware of is that even though you are only taking hand luggage, there is still the chance your bag could be taken from you at the gate and checked into the hold.
If this does happen, make sure you take your medication out (along with any valuables) and keep it on your person.0 -

Yes, that's fine to bring onboard0

Medication is fine - coming back from holiday where OH suffered a serious accident we came home with 30 syringes pre-filled with meds, about 3 litres of liquid medication and wound dressings and countless pills, all in our hand luggage. Had a letter to back up from the surgeons but no issues whatsoever.
Yes, razors can be taken onboard, as can scissors with blades up to certain dimensions....0 -
Any blade up to 6cm are supposed to be allowed as per https://www.gov.uk/hand-luggage-restrictions/personal-items
You need to be careful that the rules on the otherside are the same though as for example the USA have banned blades again after previously allowing things up to 4" which includes disposable razors
The only special rule on medication is that if its a liquid and you need more than the normal limit then you can bring it through in addition to your normal cosmetics etc as long as you've a letter from the Dr and its in its original packaging etc.
If your talking tablets then it can be prudent to have a letter or a copy of the prescription, particularly if they are something that some abuse for recreational purposes. My meds have no interesting effects and I've never traveled with a letter/prescription and never had an issue0 -
We recently did a hand luggage trip and purchased small deodorant for us both. Lynx for him and sure for myself. Both under the limits and I'd guess cheaper from Asda than buying on arrival?0
