Well done:beer:
Eta: just seen it was a loan. We had a mortgage with them years ago...hmmmm
Just write to them and take pot luck. That's what I did. Their records obviously go back quite a long way.

Helllooooo lovely how are you?
You've not posted for a while so thought I'd drop in:beer:
Summer hols....hope dd enjoyed the last days at primary!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I've been AWOL for so long! DD enjoyed the last few days of primary and so far seems to be liking grammar school (but not the amount of homework). The main problem at the moment seems to be the squabbles between hormonal 11 year old girls....
I need to start posting on here again as everything seems to be going belly up moneywiseMy car is costing me more than I expected it to (although I love driving it
). I also seem to be getting far more unexpected expenses (just shelled out £80 to the plumber tonight as my boiler was on the blink this morning. There just seems to be something every month and I feel like I have completely lost the plot where money is concerned. I used to be so good.....:o
I am ebaying like mad and have just posted a query on the PPI board as I'm sure I can still squeeze some more money out that way. It's just proving a bit tricky when I don't have any account numbers
Anyway I am decorating this weekend (already bought the paint) and am hoping to do the living room, hall, stairs and landing. Hope I haven't been too ambitious! I have got everything planned with military precision so should be OK. Just painting it all white so don't anticipate having to do the ceilings as they are in v good condition already and cutting in shouldn't be a problem.
Just really need to get back on my feet moneywise..It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Right.
I have sorted myself out moneywise. Or am in the process of doing so.
My mortgage rate runs out in January so I have seen my mortgage advisor as I don't really fancy going on to a SVR of nearly 4%.
It's all worked quite well really because my house has gone up in value more than I expected and I actually have over £100k in equity. So, I am borrowing slightly more than I need and the plan is to pay my car off so it turns into an asset and with any money I have left over I will put towards new windows because ours aren't particularly great and I would like the outside of our house to look as great as the inside.
This won't all go through until the beginning of January so my bank account will look pretty horrendous until then but at least it will all come out in the wash then and I can go back to being good with money again
I've started Xmas shopping but I'm still looking for bargains, going through cashback sites etc. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
To anyone who is still subscribed to this (doubtful as I've been AWOL for so long) I have started a new diary http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=177
as I now find myself facing some completely new challenges!
Anyone fancy joining me on the redundancy raft????It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
