Problem with surveyor

I'm trying to buy a flat in London. The surveyor said he would have my survey ready by last Friday. It is now Tuesday afternoon and I still haven't seen it, despite calling and emailing him repeatedly (he keeps ignoring my calls).
It is two weeks since he did the survey and I know from the brief conversation that I had him with after he did it, that there are things in the survey that may lead to a renegotiation of price, so I urgently need the information. My solicitor can't start the searches either.
Is two weeks a reasonable time to prepare a survey (he'd originally told me it would be done in 7 working days)?

They usually come in within a few days.
Go and sit on his doorstep, he might be a bit quicker Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth. Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Did you commision the survey yourself directly with the surveyor or was it arranged via your mortgage lender?
If it's the latter then give your lender a call & ask them to chase it up & mention the surveyors ignorance in ignoring your calls.
If you commisioned the survey yourself can you not go to the surveyors office & demand your survey asap.? Or If it's a large practice then try contacting the main partner to complain if you haven't received it by the end of the week.
Do remember though that not only have there been postal strikes which have affected the post in some areas, but because it's holiday time they may not have the full quota of staff who would normally type up the reports. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0

When I sold my house I spoke to the surveyor and she said she'd have the report with my buyers within 48 hours.
She would dictate the info and send it off to a digital transcribing company. Much more efficient way of doing it.
But 2 weeks is taking the mick.0
