Hi, so here is the problem. Got a new fridge freezer delivered yesterday, the freezer section seems to be fine, ice cubes made, but the fridge section seems to be taking a long time to get down to the correct temperature range, abour 5 degrees. It is currenctly sitting at 8 or 9 degrees.
Is it just a matter of waiting, or is there something wrong with this machine.
Thanks for any advice.

Sounds normal, a fridge can often vary in temperature across different points inside.... Especially when empty. The more empty the fridge/freezer is, the harder it has to work and the less consistent the internal temperature will be.
My own fridge is an AEG, it was £750 worth of fridge, bought with slight transit damage for £270. This fridge maintains a temperature of +3 to +5c.
In contrast, the cheap junk fridges at work are -7c at the back/bottom and +14c on the top shelf.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Put a glass of water in the fridge with the thermometer in it. Leave it overnight then have a look. Every time you open the door most of the cooled air rushes out & it has to start again. The glass of water will stay cooler longer than the air.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Yes, I had a new fridge freezer recently and it took a few days for the fridge to reach its final temperature.
I presume it's cooling down the plastics, linings, insulation, etc until it reaches some sort of steady state. As mentioned, having it fairly full seems to keep the temperature more stable.0 -
