Can't be found at Credit Bureau

Options
Hi all,

I've gone on to MoneySupermarket and Money Saving Expert the check eligibility for a credit card.
Both come back to say that they can't find my details at the Credit Bureau.

However when I went on to Barclaycard and Totallymoney.com with the same details they were able to give me a rating for each card and hos likely I was to get it. Barclaycard said 80-90% and TotallyMoney.com rated me from excellent to good across a number of cards except for a few higher value cards that came back fair to poor.

What should I go by? I'm getting a bit confused by it all.

Thanks!

At a guess they are doing searches at difference credit reference agencies.

Sounds like there may be something meaning they cannot locate you using callcredit.
May be worth seeing if you can get a copy of your callcredit file yourself (free from their noddle website).

Are you on the electoral roll at your current address? Did you input your address on to the eligibility search in the same format as the council use for the electoral roll?

I am on the electoral roll, but only in the last 5 weeks.
I actually got a letter today in relation to the election and my address shows as 1-2 for the flat number, whereas the MSE and Msupearket show as 1/2 on the drop down, do you think this would affect it?

    Thanks very much

Could be that callcredit haven't yet updated the electoral roll details - that can typically take around a month - 6 weeks from when the council say you are on the register.

Alternatively the flat number could be causing an issue, see if you can register with noddle.

    Amazing, thank you so much.

Not sure if you'll know this but based on the Barclaycard giving me an 80-90% success prediction, do you think that they've just used a different credit reference agency? Should I take it that if I applied I should actually have an 80-90% chance of acceptance.

    Thanks again

Obviously they wouldn't pull that out of nowhere

Yes I expect they use one of the other agencies.

And yes the % chance they give you should be pretty accurate. If they are saying 80-90% then I'd say it was worth making an application.

I thought I'd come on here to see if anyone could give helpful advice, but I had no idea how helpful it would be.
The kettle hadn't even boiled and I already had a resolution to my issue.

Thank you so much Tixy. You've been amazing.
