I wouldn't! Remember when Dell was selling a basic printer for £10 there were lots of these appearing on ebay for considerably more.
The answer is shop around! By all means include ebay in this process.
Canon printers can have quite cheap cartridges as they are just reservoirs of ink and do not have the new print heads on them like HP ones do......0 -
Inkjets are extremely expensive to run; a laser printer may cost a bit more, but the cartridges last ages. I bought a Samsung ML-1250 for £99 from dabs.com in 2002 which came with two half-full 1000 sheet cartridges. It's only on the second of those cartridges some five-and-a-half years later, having printed probably 3000-4000 pages.0

Depends if OP only ever wants to print in black and white. Colour Laser printers are quite expensive.0 -

Hear hear. I did buy a Lexmark which seemed very reasonably priced, then had to pay £24 per cartridge. When it went belly up I bought an HP printer and the local cartridge re-fill place can do them cheaply. They were not so keen on Lexmark re-filling although their excuses were vague.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
I bought a refurbish printer from Ebson, model stylus C48 cost about £30 but the best bit is the ink cartages are SO cheap. I bought 10 black and 5 colour for £20 delivered from nd ink.

I would recommend Epson everytime, but £25 is pushing it.
What about an Epson All-in-one £39 on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000O3ABIE?ie=UTF8&tag=jcwebdesigns&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B000O3ABIE Other people are selling it for alot more.
The cartridge are also cheap visit http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000QGGA20?ie=UTF8&tag=jcwebdesigns&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B000QGGA20

Best to get colour printing done by a photo printing service or shop. Cheaper per print, and better quality too.0
