How can I record video on my Pc ?

I want to record a video clip.

Are there any built-in tools that come with Windows 7 or can I download something ?

Thanks

Where is the video clip. Is it on youtube. on a dvd, on your camera etc. What is the filetype?

Are you wanting to record something that is already on the Internet and save it to your PC ? Or do you have a video camera you want to attack to the PC and use that to record something ?

It's playing in a browser window.

It's council video for a CCTV issued parking ticket.

    Don't know the file type.

If the above isn't suitable, Video Download Capture should do it.
