The road wheels could be rotated by hand, with a little effort, when they should move freely.
THAT is not significant..........
Errr, yes it is - it indicates a lazy or stuck calliper.
As a very general rule (ignoring things like transmission loads), if a wheel shows a definite reading on a brake tester, rather than a bit of "flutter" of the needle, when the brakes are released then it's indicating binding brakes. Especially on a wheel with disk brakes, where the pads are naturally pushed away from the disk by the slight run-out that's always present in disks and bearings.
If one side is clearly reading higher than the other (which will account for the transmission) then there's a problem and it's a fail.0 -
"Brake tester"?
It can't go on one of those, it's too light at the front end.
Has to be done with a decelerometer out on the road.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Wasn't aware "too light at the front end" was one of the exceptions to roller testing. The manual only mentions permanent 4WD, limited slip diffs and belt drive.
In fact, light front end is a benefit - makes it easier to lock the front wheels and 3 wheels (assuming a 4 wheeler before you decide it's only got 3) locking is a pass regardless of the figures0 -

to the OP
transit been stood nearly a year now brake pedal pulsing
does this not suggest you have a brake problem that a simple strip and inspect would discover
wheel cylinders on these fords have a propensity to seize then leak when left for periods of time and trust me here i own 2 of the things
im not even going to mention that simple servicing of an underused machine is more imperative but i have
then one wonders why vosa changed the rules regarding horsey boxes because of the same reason

Unfortunately a simple strip and inspect is not that easy when you aren't getting home until after its dark (yes, I am still in the office at 8.52pm)
its not a lack of willing, but a lack of time and fiscal resources right now. Its going in on Wednesday so we will have to see what happens I guessProud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0
