Jolly chap at Nationwide customer services

So, I sent a secure message via my Nationwide online account to request a tax statement for our rental property mortgaged with them. My message was a to the point
"Can you please forward me a MIRAS 5 tax statement for tax year 2014-2015 for mortgage account 1234567890, Thankyou"
This is the reply I got, seems very jolly, though there could be a large bit of sarcasm in there, either way it made me chuckle
"Hi Mr XXXX,
Thanks for getting in touch, I can indeed!
I have ordered you a MIRAS 5 tax certificate for 2014/15 for your XXXX Lane property and this will be delivered to your XXXX Lane home address.
It will arrive safe and sound with you in the next 3-5 working days.
Let me know if you need anything else and I'd be happy to lend a hand.
Have a brilliant weekend!"

That made me laugh! I was expecting a rant from your title!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

I work with a company where the main selling guy is super jolly - I've often laughed out loud at his e-mails. It brightens up a day when customer services are human.0

Do you still have your mortgage account number in there?0

Yes, if that's your real account number in the OP I'd remove it (unless you're hoping that an inept fraudster will accidentally pay it off for you).

But surely MIRAS was completely abolished in April 2000 by Gordan Brown.......0

Looks like the name is a hangover from those days, it's really called a Certificate of Mortgage Interest.

Do you live on the same road as your rental property or is it going to your tenants?0

My partner phoned a call centre to query having a previous address on the share certificate. Apparently that was 'totes fine', made her chuckle.0
