Other charges on Scottish Power final bill?????

Hi I have just used the Martin Lewis collective switch thingy to switch to Sainsburys for cheaper fuel and it has completed but I am still getting final bills from Scottish Power and there is something odd on them, I have 2 bills which have a heading of OTHER CHARGES somewhere in the middle and they seem to have added these amounts, one says "Balance Transfer from Electricity Service" £74.00 on the 17th March bill and the other says "Balance Transfer from Gas Service" £90.52 on the 31st March bill.

What are these for and are these normal?

My contract ended 28th of Feb.

Also both bills say Estimated reading, I had assumed Sainsbury's handled it all and would give Scottish Power the reading that they took over at. That's how it seemed to happen in the past. have I done something incorrectly?

Basically as I leave one company I am being cautious not to be over charged etc.

I tried calling but the wait is for ever to get through.

Any help/advice appreciated.

If it is anything like the Guardian case, it seems like they could have transferred your gas arrears to your electricity bill to present you with one bill.

Then transferred your electricity arrears to your gas bill so that you only get one bill;)

Except that it means you have now been billed for twice the amount you owe:T How very like Scottish Power to perform this accounting magic!
