Should I change the boiler
Comments

So, bad luck for me. A day after moving in, saw that the boiler had locked out. It's an old Potterton Supprima 50 and there are widely reported issues of it's locking out.
Ponder it would have been nice if I had replaced it earlier now.
I have lots of experience with the Suprima 50 as I have unfortunately owned 2 of them.
In general they can be fixed easily with a refurb PCB - you can PM me if you want more details or just reply here.
Most heating engineers that I have asked about it say it's not a terrible boiler apart from the electronics which Potterton did finally admit was a known issue during the 90s and even fixed for free for a short time.0 -
I was discussing boilers with a heating technician a couple of years ago and he hinted that maybe non condensing boilers are still allowed. Anyone know if this is true?0
