If you iron the arm pit of the shirt and have a good sniff does it smell like BO? That's how I can tell if the smell is ingrained. I have a spray bottle of half white vinegar, half water and give the armpits of the shirts a liberal soaking and leave for half hour before washing.
Can you ask anyone else apart from your girlfriend for an opinion? Maybe she doesn't have a sensitive nose.0
