Smart tv - printing?

Hi
Asking this for a friend who's considering buying a smart tv, about which we both know little.
She's wondering whether she could use this for web browsing/ online purchasing and email and, if she had a wireless printer, whether she could print to this from the tv?
Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated
Thanks
2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shading
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

In theory it would be possible if the operating system of the TV could support the printers drivers.

In practice, I am not aware of any TV that currently allows printing. Just checking the Samsung's latest flagship TV manual and there is no mention of being able to print

You could use the web browser on a TV for web browsing etc but in my experience they are nowhere near as good as one on a computer and a lot clunkier to use with a remote control. You wuld need to attache a keyboard and pointing device to the TV and at that point you might as well use a computer. You are unlikely to be able to print from one as how would you install the printer drivers for a start?

As I said, we don't know much about these TVs but wondered if there was maybe an app (or similar) that could be downloaded and installed?
I think my friend thinks that a smart tv might work a bit like a (really) big tablet :D

The only things you can install on a smart TV is what is available from the manufacturers smart TV 'app store' These will not include printer drivers. They only include games and streaming video services usually.
