Week ago today, letter for PIP assessment, at home , 2pm today. Text received 2 days later repeating this, (and saying to remember to BRING identification. LOL. Anyway by 2.35pm today, and no sight or sound, called up ( thinking it'll get marked as nonattendance on my part), initially told they had no idea, let's see, oh yes she's off sick. Thanks for telling me, fills me with even more confidence! Just saying! Now if I'd been sick, not shown etc...

Thats terrible! Do you have to wait long for the next appointment?0

Next Wednesday, supposedly, but just getting me more stressed by it all. If they can't keep track of their staffs whereabouts, how can they be trusted to handle claims efficiently and accurately. What if I hadn't had phoned, no report filed so it'd be down as a noshow by me.0

Utter disgrace. They are showing nothing but contempt.
Mind you what do you really expect where the DWP are involved.
If I had have done that when working I would have been out on my ear with no job.
I hope that you have made a strong complaint in writing and that when you actually do get to see someone, you ask them what they are playing at?
I would and be damned to the consequences - the DWP and it's agents are there to serve you and not the other way round.0 -
The assessor may have phoned in sick herself yesterday. You've been given another appointment for next week. Good grief, these things happen.0

I appreciate that they do. But, when someone has an appointment, wouldn't you have thought that they should have explained to the claimant what was going on. It's good manners to keep people up to date with events.
It's not for the claimant to chase up and be told that.
When I was working and had to call in sick or had a problem at home and would not be in, the first thing my secretary did was to telephone all of my clients that I was to see that day explaining the situation and rearranging another suitable appointment. I would have 'hit the roof' if any appointment had not be cancelled by her in a timely manner.0 -
Yes these things happen, but my appt was 2pm; guessing she'd have phoned in 9am is...what if I hadn't have chased them. And now I have an early appt so need to be ready...not usually dressed by 930am...and then they may not show AGAIN. Double standards et al0
