yes, took out some accumulated dividend payments to earn interest but realised with my newer regular top up/reinvestment schedule it's hardly worth the faff as it takes a couple of days to land anyway and won't get to that amount now before a purchase swallows it.

Settled on this setup in the end, a grid where each component is calculated separately and the total is calculated when the actual deployment of the capital is recorded instead of simply when cash sums are deposited in the account.
