Overpaid pension

My company have recently been audited, and found we have been paying too much pension.
Are we entitled to get the over payment back ?

You probably need to give a bit more info to get a response Do you mean that you have been collecting too much in pension contributions from the staff? or are you a member of staff who has had too much taken from their earnings?? What kind of scheme is it??

Is it the employer contribution that is too much?
    Is it the individual contribution?
Is it a pension in payment (retirement income)?

What type of pension is it?

What does your employer say when you ask them?

It is a final salary scheme and I am a member of staff.
The problem was they were taking a percentage of my wage on everything earned inc overtime and holiday pay.
But it should of only been based on a 39hours plus shift pay.
  • Any answers or do u need more info ?

If this were a local authority or a school I would expect a correction via payroll (overpaid contributions less underpaid tax).
