ESTA (WVP) application

I have just applied for a waiver to a visa to America. The application was approved but I noticed the application to travel is only valid until 24 Apr. 2015.

I was informed that the application was valid for two years but mine is only for two weeks.

PLease can somene tell me why this is?

Also do I also need a visa as well? Very confusing information out there and no tel. nos.

I suggest you go back to the site and use the Retrieve Application option to ascertain the details of your ESTA.

I presume you used the correct website for your application which is -

https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html

Thank for your replies. My passport doesnt run out until April 2024 and that is clearly stated on the VWP application. The Validity date cannot be altered from my computer so is there an no. I can ring?
Also the form did not ask me for travel dates?

The Thomas Cook rep told me I was cutting it fine to apply for travel to USA in July and that is why I am very confused.

You have been looking at the dates wrong, either on the ESTA application or in reading the response.

Passport valid to April '24 and ESTA valid to 24 April.

USA use month/date/year not date/month/year.

Or more likely, the login is showing today's date 15 Apr 24 and you are interpreting this as the expiry date and reading it backwards as 24 Apr 15.
