Suspended from work but don't know why

Not sure what you man by cross examine the colleague?. But I was told that she had giving her version of events and I was too give mine. There was only myself and her present when the said theft was meant to happen, the girl who accused me has now moved job as well so I find it all a bit suspect. I contacted ACAS who told me they would help0

I mean did you question her at the hearing? You may have been able to discredit her evidence.
It sounds like you need some representation here. If you are a member of a union, contact your rep urgently. Otherwise, perhaps there is a trusted colleague with more experience of dealing with disciplinaries who can help you put together your case and accompany you to the appeal hearing.
From the information given i don't fancy your chances but there's always hope and you should give it your best shot otherwise you will look back and wonder whether things would have worked out differently.0 -
I should add that your appeal should focus on why the original decision was flawed rather than introducing new arguments.0
