Holiday in June for Couples

Good morning,
I would like to go on Holiday in june for 10 days but I really don't know where to go. Last year I was in Costa Brava and we loved it, £600 for both of us with the flight, hotel and half board, great deal!
We have a budget of around £700-800 both of us, 10 days.
I would like to go to a beach, I was thinking of Majorca, but then where in Majorca? any ideas of good cheap beach holiday ?

My boyfriend and I are going away to Marrakech in June - cheap and hot, not near the sea though. Other destinations we considered within that budget were Turkey, Egypt and Rhodes, as he wanted all inclusive.
Do you want AI or HB? HB opens up your horizons to loads of other places. I really wanted to go to Santorini.0 -

We spent a week in Majorca last June in Santa Ponsa.
It's a mixed nationality resort (which we prefer) rather than all Brits and the resort has two areas one super lively and the quieter area so the nightlife is there if you want it - and avoidable if you just want something quieter.
The beach was fantastic , the water warm as it's on a bay and crystal clear.
It is close enough to Palma for a day trip on the local bus.
We booked flight and hotel seperately as it was much cheaper -and used a taxi from the airport rank which was only slightly dearer than booking a coach transfer and avoided the stopping to drop other holidaymakers first.
We went half board and the food was excellent -there are all inclusive resorts available too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Anyone been to Salou, Costa Dorada, Spain? Looks really nice in the pictures and on youtube holiday videos. I found Full board on 8th June for 10 days just under 700 pounds. We are not fussy eaters or about the hotel. Can you recommend any websites for holidays, i use onthebeach, i'm really scared when booking on the internet.0

If I was going to book a package, I'd stick with the the actual suppliers of it or the airlines
Thomson, Thomas Cook, easyjet, Jet2
I'd give the likes of OTB a wide berthChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
On the whole On The Beach are a decent company to use. Yes there are stories on here where people haven't been happy, but they do send millions of passengers each year off on their jollies and only a small percentage seem to have an issue.
As with any holiday company, make sure you do your research on your hotel before you book! Use tripadvisor to read the reviews, google maps to see how far away it is from places and ask on here if you want further info.
As for Salou, I have been a few times with work and once with my family. It's a large resort with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. The beach is great, sandy and very long so normally plenty of space. It's a little too blackpool in the sun for me, however its a great base for exploring the area and has something for everyone.
The bus service is good so you can visit nearby La Pineda and Cambrils which are both smaller resorts, with great beaches. Cambrils in particular has some nice restaurants overlooking the marina and some quaint shops too.
Barcelona is really easy to get to and worth a visit and Salou is home to PortAventura which I think is fantastic. Lots of great rides, some good shows and even some decent restaurants too. (If you go you must eat at the Tapas bar in the winery at the exit to Furious Baco ride, the food is delicious).
Some hotels in Salou can be a bit on the cheap and cheerful side, and will focus more on boozed up brits than families and couples so as I say do your research first so you know what you're getting.Lea
