broken arm and easyjet.

Options
Has anyone flown easyjet on a domestic flight with a child with a broken arm?

The child will either be wearing a 5 day old cast full cast or a 1 and a half day old split cast depending on the decision made at the fracture clinic today.

Are they generally ok with kids in casts? She will have a fit to fly letter and we have priority boarding as i need to transfer from a wheelchair and into the airline seat. We are flying from glasgow to gatwick on the first flight of the day.

Be sure to book special assistance to get you through the airport and on to the 'plane.

I can't imagine any kind of problem, assuming she can fit into the seat ok. Don't choose an exit row seat, as a wheelchair user you cannot anyway.

I made several international flights on easyJet wearing a big abduction cushion under my arm after shoulder surgery. Apart from the mistaken requests by crew to put my "bag" under the seat in front, nobody commented. I made no special requests except when fresh out of hospital at Munich I suggested and was given complimentary "speedy boarding" to avoid being jostled.

Thanks, the wee one is sporting a split cast covered in bandages that are not to be removed unless by a medic from the airline. Apparently this is fairly common so I'm feeling a bit more reassured.

If you put a search for "broken arm easyjet" into Google there's a review where a man had to cut his own cast off with no assistance as easyjet wouldn't let him board otherwise!

And she's a tiny wee thing for her age so should have no issue fitting on the seat, we have pre-booked seating so we will be fine from that point of view

I had to get my cast split as by the time I discovered I couldnt fly with the stookie the way it was, it was too late for a doctors letter, they were fine with the split cast, actually the hospital refused to split my cast, they removed it and I wore one of those support gloves given to me by the hospital.
