Hi All
My son wants an annual pass at Thorpe Park. I do recall being there once before and seeing something where you can turn your ticket into an annual pass which has got me thinking.
1. Did i imagine this?
2. If you purchase a ticket online in advance it will cost £29.99 instead of £49.99 but an annual pass costs £69.99. This means that if i wanted to decide whilst i was in the park that i would like to flip my ticket into an annual pass would i have to pay £20 extra if i bought online or £40 if i didnt buy online? Anyone done this before. Its a bit naughty (i think) if person A has to pay a different price to person B.
3. I have tried to call them to ask but the number i have is an automatic nightmare answer phone thing which doesnt have an option to hold on and speak to someone, i have emailed to ask but not had a reply yet.

Just managed to find a phone number and spoke to a real person. What they do is take the price that you paid for the ticket off of the annual pass price which is a bit cheeky as there is really no advantage to get an online ticket really if you are thinking of upgrading.0

Why is it cheeky? You are getting the price you paid for the day ticket, refunded against the price of the annual pass . It doesn't matter which day ticket you buy, you still pay £69.99 for the annual pass.0 -
To get into the park it saves to get an online ticket but there is no such incentive to do this when getting an annual pass. Might as well get the annual pass now really.0
