Pls Help...Unaware of CCJ what to do??

    Thanks.....so I'm guessing after reading a few posts that it will stay on whether I pay or not ? if I contact and pay it, it will stay on until 2019 but be marked as satisfied? Even though it has been discontinued it will still stay on?

    Unless you can get it set aside, then yes.

    However, now you've checked credit reports etc that may alert the claimants to your new details and address, you could find them contacting you and looking to enforce it.

    I would phone National Debtline on 0808 808 400 and chat through options with them. Could be grounds for a set aside depending on the details.

    when you say "checked credit reports that may alert them" - what do you mean by this? you don't mean credit files that experian and co hold do you?

    Yes, I do.

    There are subscription services offered by Experian, Equifax etc, that alert debt collectors to new linked addresses for people they are trying to trace. Checking credit reports often creates those links and triggers an alert.
