JISA's and CTF

Can anyone confirm this is right . My daughter has been into the Halifax today to open a Junior ISA and transfer the Child Trust Fund that her daughter has.
Halifax confirmed that the JISA can be 4080 PLUS the CTF amount .
In this case the daughter opened the JISA with 4080 and is transferring another 430 into it from the CTF

Total 4510.

Assumed the max would be 4080. Is this correct, or as Halifax made an error. My daughter did say that the person who served her , had to make quite a few calls , and the whole process took 1 1/2 hours.

The CTF is simply a transfer in of a different allowance and has nothing to do with the annual JISA allowance.

    Should be fine.

So if you have the funds max out the ctf allowance (twice if the child's birthday falls before April)and then max out the JISA allowance and boom, 3 times the annual allowance in the space of 12 months.
