My OH snores quite bad which is made worse with alcohol and he's not overweight, quite active really, we have been to the doctors who basically said nothing we can do other than keep wearing the earplugs.

I have always worn ear plugs due to it and i usually go to bed before him as i can hear the snoring slightly through ear plugs but once asleep i don't hear it, we've given up with a cure, nothing seems to help...You can hear him from downstairs :D

My mum is a bad snorer also and she had an operation privatley some laser thing to remove/reduce her soft palate, anyway it worked for a bit (very painful) but she's back snoring again..but she does smoke as well.

Trial and error i think ;)

My friend is a nurse and she recommended "help stop snoring spray", you can get this in boots - she encouraged her husband to use it as he snored alot.

Don't think it works if you've had lots of alcohol though!

I then told someone else about it and when they got it for their partner, they also said he didn't snore for two nights when using it..

    Hope it helps..

Have been using this for over 2 years.....works for a while but then your body can get used to it.

i've never had trouble sleeping but my OH snores and it's started to get worse. i'm alright to start with as i sleep quite deeply but i'm finding that i'm waking around 3am and can't get back to sleep. last night it was so bad i had to go and sleep on the settee which felt horrible.

he seems to be a nose snorer. it used to happen particularly if he had a drink but now it happens every night. and he's not overweight.
