Calling all SNORERS ... (or partners!)

Hi everyone
Much to my disapointment, it has to reported that I have started snoring and it's not helping my partner get my sleep!
I have read a few strong reviews for something called rhynil spray, which at only £13.95 in the few places it seems to be available seems a bit of a bargain.
Does anyone have any reviews of this or other recommendations? I've done a few of the tests online and it seems I'm more the sort to snore from my mouth than nose!

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

Snoring can be made worse by being overweight......0

My OH snores like a warthog if he drinks more than 1 bottle of beer. Alcohol definitely effects him. He's also about a stone heavier than this time last year.
I, of course, only do tiny ladylike snoring. Ignore any posts by Mr Watcher who says my snoring makes the curtains move . In my defense I snore when I'm exhausted by lack of sleep caused by Mr Watcher's original snoring.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

See your doctor. My DH snores terribly (to the poin that every few weeks he sleeps in the conservatory as its the only place in the house me and the kids don't hear him!) and was given a nasal spray on prescription. When he remembers to take it then his snores are much better.Make £5 per day in August= £100/£155
Paid MS- £5+ £10 GR, £5 RE, £15 MS
£65 ebay profit
Waiting on payment- E160 BAI

You can get the spray on prescription.
My husband snores like you wouldn't believe, any time we stay anywhere or people stay with us it is the next morning's topic of conversation. He has *finally* started to do something about it. He's off to the hospital in a week or so to have monitors fitted when he sleeps.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi, Unfortunately I also have a tendancy to snoore... I tried the spray and it kinda helped, but found better results by using Nasal Strips.
If you look in the BSSAA (http://www.britishsnoring.co.uk/) website there are some tests you can try to establish what kinda of snoorer you are...
Best value Nasal Strips I found so far are on ebay. I got my first set from Tesco (£5 ish for 10).... And they even work after a few bottles of wine ;-)

Hiya, did you try the Rhynil - and did it work?
If so, where did you get it from?

I must have spent well over £200 over the last 10 years trying to cure my DH's snoring. Several years ago it was so bad that one of us ended up sleeping on the settee taking it in turns. This lasted for several months and was not good for our relationship.:D
We tried sprays, nasal strips drops and something called a noseavent which was like a wishbone from a chicken which he struck in his nose each night. None of it really worked properly. The nasal strips were quite good but they cost so much money and he needed a new one each night. I even bought some light meter thingy for £80. When he snored I was supposed to plug it in and it flashed. I tried it once and of course it did not work.
However, I have now discovered the solution and have been using it for the past 3 years. I put ear plugs in. The nice foam ones. You can buy them from supermarkets in little packets of two. However, as one pack of two lasts about 1 week before they don't spring back into place any more I now bulk buy them off Ebay - I have at least 500 packets in the house at the moment:j It says you can wash them but I haven't found that very effective.
Good luck.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
My partner was AWFUL, had tried loads of "solutions" and we got these and they actually worked (no idea how) - bedroom smells nice too

My friend is a nurse and she recommended "help stop snoring spray", you can get this in boots - she encouraged her husband to use it as he snored alot.

Don't think it works if you've had lots of alcohol though!
I then told someone else about it and when they got it for their partner, they also said he didn't snore for two nights when using it..
Hope it helps..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
