Car is Peugeot 406,
Saloon car, Petrol
Year 2000
Engine Size (CC): 1761
When turning the rotation switch for the hot air, or cold air button, NO motor /blow air noise is detected.
Previously for 1 month, this was happening.
No motor/blow air noise was comming, but when the key was still in the ignition, and it was gently shaken up /down , and left right (the key seems a bit loose in the ignition hole),
when it was slightly shaken, while the car was on and being driven)
then the air/blow air started to work, and the noise of the air came.
So basically, when the car was being driven, and no air was comming the key was slightly shaken, gently in the ignition and it did 'something' to start the motor , making the air noise, and starting the heat, to warm up the car (like normal)
Now though, that doesn't happen atal, it doesn't work atal completely!.
Now this happens
The heater fan doesn't make any noise, (on both cold and hot air) no noise of the fan/motor comes.
but previously fiddling with the key, up/down left right slightly, generated the motor to work.
Does this indicate a possibly lose wire somewhere?
howcome the key in the ignition feels a bit lose? or is this common?
What are your thoughts on what it sounds like ?
and What tests can I do, to check and confirm that it is the heater/ or lose wiring ??

Dodgy ignition switch, Usually caused by lots of use or having lots of keys on a keyring which hangs from the ignition switch.
Replace the switch and check the wiring is secure.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
