Reclaiming Yorkshire Bank Charges

Hello
Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong section. I'm new to this forum. I've used the website many times in the past but never as a member.
Recently I wrote to Yorkshire Bank requesting a list of all transactions on our bank account using a template from this website.
I've received a letter requesting a further £10 as it is for a Joint Account and a request to phone them to discuss my request and to clarify the information I require.
I'm reluctant to phone them, I'd prefer to write another letter so any advice would be welcome as I don't really want to discuss it over the phone with them and I don't want to discuss our financial hardship with them until I've a comprehensive list of all charges in front of me.
I'd appreciate any information anybody can give me.
Thanks

You dont need a list of charges.
You put your financial hardship case to them and they look at your spending habits and decide if they feel you are in genuine hardship or not. They will then consider from the range of options that they have open to them what they consider they will do.
This could mean a refund of some of your recent charges. Or a suspension of charges for the next x months or a combination. None of the options require you to list charges.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Thank you. We've been into the bank on a number of occasions to discuss our financial hardship. Originally both myself and my husband were working but I was finished from my job through ill health and then my husband had a heart attack and developed a brain illness. We were told to repay our overdraft that the bank had arranged when they wanted us to take out a mortgage with them which we've endeavoured to do but it's been very difficult and our financial circumstances have completely changed over the past few years.0

You need to be in current financial hardship for the bank to consider refunding any charges and typically, it's only for the last 6 months. Current hardship means no mobile phone contracts, sky tv etc.
Go to the debt free wannabe board for more advice on overdrafts and changing bank accounts.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Thanks.
We don't have SKY or mobile phone contracts. The bank are aware that we had to cancel our health insurance policies/payments etc as we've taken such a drop in monies coming in.0
