That may be the case, but it's a little unfair to imply that working in an office precludes a person from being mechanically competent.
I've worked in an office all of my working life (I am not a formally trained engineer, mechanic, or anything similar) but that doesn't mean I wasn't able to perform a body-off nut and bolt restoration of a classic Triumph when I was 16, or indeed any of the other mechanical and engineering operations I am capable, and competent, to perform.
In the same vein, I'm not a warehouse operative but I can operate a counterbalance FLT, I'm not a gardener but I can mow a lawn, I'm not an electrician but I can rewire a house, and I'm not a machine operator but I can use a lathe, milling machine and a sliding shaper.
Working in an office doesn't render one's hands useless, you know.0 -

Indeed. Excellent car!
I would doubt you would get anywhere with an issue on a 17 year old car that couldnt be described as wear and tear, if you had to go to court - particularly given most of them have been modded in some way.0 -
Court will be costly, You say its weak on power but other than a compression test what have you done to check the power output?
Which engine? Is it a watered down fuel efficient one?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Imported from where?
Aren't cars in Japan limited to 112mph?0 -
Don't think they do but haven't tried mine
Yep from japan0 -
I'd be talking to a recognised specialist at this point and asking about what it may be. Then talk to the supplying dealer and say you have an issue with the car and what their process is for repair/partial refund.
There is also the GTR forum which is a hive of knowledge about all the skylines. gtr.co.uk
All the skylines must be run on Vpower/Momentum 99, they do not run properly on normal fuel.
When was it last serviced by a proper specialist?0 -
What makes you think it's engine related? Compression test has ruled out a lot of possibilities, more than likely something else0

I'd be surprised if a 17 year old car engine wasn't down on power versus original specifications.0

Already asking about court cases, blimey!0
