the bf has just bought this, was waiting for it to come out and he is very happyt with it, it seems very good value for money. Looks cheap and nasty but it is medion and the price reflects this (have had a medion laptop and another desktop before)
Talking to my other mate who's had one for 2 years he hasnt had any problems with it apart from one of the stands for the keyboard broke recently.
I think for the price and features you cant beat them but if you are one of those who goes for looks you will be disapointed as the quality of the case etc is very cheap, but then the price really makes up for it if you compare with a 'branded' make, we saw a very similar spec hewlett packard in pc world but that had a slower processor and it was over a grand.
Also another friend who works from home in It always buys medion for the spec and he is on it all day working so i guess thats a good sign!Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. The specs look interesting, but I notice that the list of connections only mentions hdmi and dvi. Is there no VGA socket for using the old/standard monitors, or does it demand buying an expensive new digital monitor?
also, what is the tv tuner card? Presumably it has to have an aerial socket (not mentioned in the spec) but does it also have inputs for transferring material from a video recorder? If so, what are they?
Hope someone can help with this info.0 -
My present machine is a Medion, I've had it for some years now. Never had a problem with it. Added more RAM, an extra hard drive, TV card etc, etc no bother.
On the strength of this one I would seriously consider another, at the right price !0 -
If you're not interested in the TV tuner/remote you could spec up something at the same price with 2x 512mb 8500GT's(Higher memory Version of the same card) running in SLI (total 1024mb memory compared to 256mb) at pcoption.co.ukBought, not Brought0

Usually they supply a DVI to VGA adapter. If not, they're as common as muck and you can buy them for pennies.
Just been looking at it. The case looks remarkably similar to the HP ones PC World were selling last year.0
