My husband starts university Sept 2015 - we are confused at the wording re living at home.
Option 1 - Living with Parents
Option 2 - Living away from home
Well neither?! Not living with parents but lives with me. So what is it! If he selects living with parents he gets less money...but he pays rent so is it not option 2?
Argh!!!!

I'd go for option 2 - living with parents generally means "someone else paying for your living costs".
Call his University for clarification

He's definitely Option 2 as "home" refers to the parental home. If it helps think of it as 1) Living with parents 2) Not living with parents
Apologies for any typos, my phone can't handle the forums.0 -
Always used to be worded on the forms as Elsewhere or Own Home, so odd they changed it. Option 2 though.0

For me it's a clear Option 20

Option two, if you're living with a partner before the beginning of the academic year they would then base his loan/bursary amount on your income.
One one would only apply if you hadn't been living together before the start of term or he was living alone and under 25 (I believe)

So what would happen then if you have 2 students that are married to each other, but they are lodging with one set of parents (ie living with parents, but the parents not paying for the students living costs?)

Married students are considered to be financially independent of their parents.0
