Tsb

Options
I have been self employed since 1994 in 1996 tsb sent me a letter saying I had been accepted for a credit card, which I had not applied for. I accepted and received card which I still have. There was no mention of any insurance or anything else I noticed on bills a premium which I thought was for lost or stolen card. I am still self employed and a few years I did try to claim and was refused. Three weeks ago I received a phone call from tsb the lady said they were investigating claims that had been refused. She asked me I had savings at the time, if I would still receive wages from the buisiness if I had savings if I would receive wages from buisiness if I could not work if I had any other insurance.
Has this happened to anybody else and do I have a claim or not

They rejected your old complaint so it would be time barred, however, they are clearly reviewing old cases and if your answers are honest and correct and they feel you were incorrectly rejected before they will then pay out.

They are no doubt checking your eligibility to claim on the PPI, if it would have covered you if you were unable to work etc

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Exactly. So they are reconsidering your credit card complaint. Wait and see.
