On the move Internet

Options
Hi,

I am struggling to come up with a solution to my problem. I am taking my kids Skegness Butlins July 10th & there is a massive fight in the UFC on the 11th. Now i have rang Butlins & they have pretty much told me there Wifi is rubbish so i wouldn't be able to get decent enough speeds to watch it there. I have thought about buying a dongle to use the internet but you have to be tied into a 12month contract.

Is there anyway i will be able to get decent enough internet to stream whilst i am there or is it as i fear & i am going to have to dis engage from the technology world for the whole week until i am home to see it?

Thanks

Scott

Spend your holiday with your family and watch it when you get back.

Failing that, EE do a pay-by-data-used SIM for iPad and similar devices.

Most companies do PAYG data, Expect to pay about £50 for a device and a months service,

    As examples - http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/phones-broadband-gps/mobile-phones-and-broadband/mobile-broadband/362_3257_30350_xx_ba00005844-bv00301761/1_20/relevance-desc/xx_xx_xx_xx_4-5-7-8-9-10-11-criteria.html

The Vodafone one starts at £30, but you would not know what coverage you have till you get there so hard to say what network you would need to get.

That said how there WiFi is is not hugely relevant, its the connection speed that they have to the internet that's important, Thats said if they are like Travelodge its only 30 minutes free then you have to pay for more service.

Not at all difficult. Just give them a call to ask if Three and/or EE have a good signal there.

If EE have a good signal, get this 4G modem for £30 on a one month contract. Once activated, give EE a call on the same day to give them a 30 day notice of cancellation.

The 25GB data allowance should be ample.

If EE is not available, but THREE is, look at this or this for £19.99. They can be unlocked for free or 99p using a code purchased via eBay. Then you can pair it with a THREE SIM on a 1 Month contract(£15 for 10GB). Same M.O. as the Osprey with the 30 day notice.

So a total cost of £30 to £36.
