Using 18185 via its non BT calls 0808 free phone number is the cheapest way currently to call a Spanish Landline from 18185 1p a minute 4p connection. Using 18185 short code it's 2p a minute . Also have a look at the Tesco Intl Calling App or Card which also charges 4p connection and 1p a minute. No DD required.

just looked at the Tesco card, seems good value and straightforward. I like that they can send you a virtual card to use immediately as we are nowhere near a store and may need to use the card immediately.

O.H. still having a meltdown about B.T. charges, on top of having been charged for about 13 text messages that didn't go, when a certain car manufacturer messages to say our car was ready for its first service., he thought it was from our car dealer and messaged back.
turned out it was sent automatically from Korea, and they kept charging for them, when he only replied once.
