Deposit from letting agent - how best to proceed?

Hi all.
Moved out of our rented place last Friday (as per our tenancy agreement) and completed a check-out meeting on Tuesday. They noted 10 issues (most of which we can back up, for example with email copies of confirmation that things can be disposed of etc). They've noted things like glass shelves, a coat hook etc being left in-tact in the property though (which they confirmed over the phone could be done as long as left - so that would be betterment anyway?) and a broken lightbulb in the kitchen, which must have gone in then gap in-between Friday & Tuesday. However, as we were left with loads of lights out when we moved in, surely the argument could be that, again, this is an improvement?
Anyway, I signed the document but noted on it that I was happy with the issues, subject to check-in pictures & email evidence etc (I've collected this all up throughout the time of being there, the check-in pictures are our version of what the property was actually like on moving-in, not the ones on the check-in inventory - which I refused to initial on the day of moving-in as they weren't a true reflection).
My question is how best now to proceed as it has been nearly a week and I've heard nothing yet? Back to the LA? or straight to the TPS. I think these are coming to come back with some ridiculous justifications for keeping a big chunk of the deposit either way....

It is easier and quicker to settle with the LA if they will be reasonable, but if they start having a laugh go to the dispute process of the scheme.0

Speak to the landlord first then the other route if they mess about.0
