HMRC Repayment Pending

I guess then it is going to slow down and take longer, but have resubmitted now so too late to change it. There is only a decrease of £400. It's gone for security checks anyhow so was unaware that they would automatically amend it... I guess we have waited this long now and aren't desperate for it, so have to just wait it out, frustrating though especially when have always received it with in 7-10 days0

Can I ask when it happened to you had it gone for "security checks" if so what happened and how long did you wait?0

Ah ok, they just said mine was due to be issued 13/04/17 but was flagged for review, happened last year but they said security not review so god knows, I did get told until they don't pay it or give you reason for not paying it then not to amend, did your lower amount get credited straight away and did it give you the option to request repayment? Last time I amended it kept giving me option for requesting repayment every 48 hours hence why I was told not to amend, how long are you looking at payment issued now? By my calculations and dates if I don't receive payment by Monday which is 1month since requesting then there's an issue as it's always took them exactly that to issue, the last two years I've requested payment on 14th April and always been paid on 13th may so I'm going To wait till Monday before I ring etc, I'm sure review is security as I can find nothing anywhere that says repayment pending because of review it's always security and payments are stopped due to initial checks. Keep us updated with your progress . Thank you0

Mrmrsbrown, mine went last year for security and it's nothing at all just takes a bit longer, they just check the money is going to the right person and the bank details match etc, any NI contributions they would auto do so if they said it was going for security I'd of left it till it's been exactly a month as the last 2 years I submitted on 14th and it's been repaid on 13th, I submitted early this year 08/04/17 so by dates it should issue on Monday next week, if it doesn't then I have an issue and will need to have another look. I didn't do NI contributions last year and they still paid it, then amended it after and I owed them £389 roughly which i rang up and paid as soon as they done it. When did you submit? I've been told mine is under review so am a bit more worried about payment than I was last year when it went for security, am hoping it means the same thing. Have you been able to request repayment of your amended return? When I amended one in 2015 they took ages I had to get an accountant to re do it as it just kept releasing payment back every 48hours. Such an annoying time of year when we're all waiting on OUR money and they take ages but if it was owed to them they'd want it yesterday haha. Good luck and keep us posted on any update0

They had said on the phone I should hear by 27th May, but after reading posts from last year, I'm doubtful. It hasn't changed on my repayments page as of yet, so not sure & I never had the option to "request" payment in the first place. It just automatically went to payment pending.
I've not heated of "review" so couldn't help with explaining what that could be. Good luck hopefully is just these security checks. Will keep you posted on any update0 -
Still pending and no further to an answer from them....anyone been issued today? Such a painful wait 🙄0

I've had a rather hopeful conversation with them this afternoon, my checks were completed then when they made a repayment there was an error so that meant it got sent off to a main office in Edinburgh for more checks, I've been advised that I should have received the money owed by 11th May so that's 9 days earlier than they've previously said. Will keep you all updated, I filled on the 6th April0

Just checked and still pending but has updated to say tax overdue?
Obviously made an amendment which reduced initial amount down, which is the amount showing as overdue. How can they have sorted that but not processed payment? Also I can't pay that until I receive my TR....0 -
Ah maybe you should of left it and amended it, but your weren't to know, they sent me a message saying they are carrying out "routine" security checks and should be paid 3weeks after check is complete. Am hoping its soon 😀 Will let you all know0
