I suppose the first repayment might be higher? Some cards require you to pay the whole of the MT fee on the next statement. (Because it is a "fee"/charge, not interest.)0

Not with MBNA, although they did use that calculation a (good) few years ago, when it was £5 + fees & interest. In fact, I'm not aware of any cards these days that require a BT/MT fee repaid on the following statement?0
