Monitor - Out of Range error message?????????

We have an oldish pc that the youngest uses for kiddy games. We replaced the monitor with a Viewsonic a while ago and we're now getting an error message when games start to run.

The games install perfectly and everything else works as it should, it's ONLY when a game starts to run, we get the 'Out of Range' message on the screen.

The latest game was Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 + 3 along with their expansion packs so it's not as if it's only games that are years and years old.

Any ideas? The Viewsonic webite was of no help. Not sure if it's something I can do anything about?????

Does your oldish pc's graphic card support the resolution you're trying to run the game at ?

It's either the monitor or the graphics card cannot support the resolution you're trying to run the games at.

You could try reducing the refresh rate, see if that helps.

Your old monitor was better/bigger..

Try a lower resolution, 800 x 600.

main menu, game options, graphical settings, select resolution
