Britannia / CoOp BS account

Many years during the "carpet bagging" era I opened an account with the Britannia Building Society (now Co Operative I believe).
I have a small amount in an account.
Is it worth keeping this in case of a buy out?
The reason I ask is that it is a bit of a pain to keep and I am trying to tidy up my accounts.

The Co-operative Bank is a bank which is 80% owned by US hedge funds. You are a customer of the bank and not a member or shareholder, so if the bank was sold there is absolutely no chance of a windfall.0
