Just used street view. Maybe your doing something wrong?
Are you talking about aerial streetview or pedestrian based views?
I meant showing street level detail when you type in a postcode into google, click on mini pic on the right.
There is no option to browse a street once the map is opened full screen. Unless an icon to do this is hidden somewhere.
The feature used to be much easier to find.
Please tell me, because it is perplexing to say the least.
Sorry for the hijack.0 -
I have no knowledge on the driveway but the streetview is right where it's always been...Sealed Pot Challenge #239

That's an aspect I hadn't realised was there, ie didn't know about the postcode option. So - I've just clicked on that mini-map and got through to a big map of the postcode area. I've tried 2 postcodes and I thought I might be able to get the little man figure hoicked over to the street I was trying for.
On one postcode I could and another one I couldn't - ie as the little man promptly went back into its little box on bottom right of screen.
Its still possible to put in the street name from that map there in the directions box and put a nearby street as where you are trying to get from. Then click on a round white button in the direction route (if you can find one) and up will come a little photo of the street scene at that point and then follow the "arrows" in the road from there to the street you want.
However, its a lot more long-winded I'd guess...0 -
I put in a postcode, map comes up. Little man is in the bottom right hand corner. Can drag him onto the road and it's working perfectly.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The difference between the two postcodes is the one that "worked" is a busier/more populated area by far and I found a series of photos of around the area came up on that one. This didn't happen, as I recall, on the less-populated postcode. Perhaps that's the difference?
Admitted I know both postcodes very well (my last house and my present house) - so could tell whats what on the photos.0 -
The little man has moved to bottom right.
With regards to the driveway, yes it must be permeable.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -

Clicking on the little man will show you which streets are available on StreetView, then drag and drop him to switch to it. There are some streets that aren't covered, presumably because the car was unable to access them at the time, so maybe the entire postcode you're having a problem with was inaccessible for some reason.0 -

OR have provision for the run off to go to a soak away on your property!

where the drive meets the road, and take that into a flower bed. You can make your driveway out of anything.0
