Cleaning and sealing a limestone fireplace

Hi,
Got an Agean limestone mantle/surround with a inset wood burning stove.
There is some darkening of the limestone above the stove presumably from soot etc.
Need advice on
1. How to clean dirt off Agean limestone
2. How to seal it
There is a realy informative thread on me from 2009 but it closed so I could not resurrect it. A product called Lithofin Stain Stop W got mentioned but I don't know if that is still the optimal product.
Thanks for any advice

Stainstop is by far the best sealer out there still
For cleaning I'd use something from universal sealers or lithofin. Water based OK, acid based will damage the limestoneHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0
