Fitting a new radiator

Silly question but just bought a brand new radiator which comes with 4 plastic plugs - reasonably obviously I've replaced the two bottom ones with the valves and one of the top ones with a bleed. The question is do I need to replace the 4th with blank or is the plastic one already in place sufficient?

It needs the proper metal blank in there, the plastic ones are only fitted to block the holes during the painting process and won't seal against water.0

I assume that was meant as a joke.
Bought the blank plugs cost about £1 for two (2 radiators) so I didn't save the £1 I was hoping to but probably saved a couple of hundred pounds compared to the advice of getting a plumber in. You were right two of my compression joints did need an extra 1/8 turn to stop water forming on the joint, but I'm happy enough with that.
Thanks for the advice to get the blanking plug though - although I'm still not 100% convinced that it was needed. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
Your rad should have come with 1 vent and one blank - you should have approached it that way and it wouldn't have cost you

as above, it comes with the vent & blanking cap so you didn't need to buy moreI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
