Hi,
Firstly apologies if this is the wrong forum.
Can anyone explain NHS funding to me? My Grandma has been assessed and has been awarded this funding, however the way things have happened the whole family is confused as to what this means as they saw her one day and moved her to a Nursing Home (NH) 2 days later without notifying anyone, so everyone is a little unclear what is happening.
Does this mean the NH is fully funded? Is it topped up by Local Authority? When will her pension stop? We know she can't top up the amount herself, if she needs a top up how do we find out what it is and arrange payment?
Thank you

what do you mean just moved without telling anyone?
surely a meeting involving the family should have taken place?
after all, I cant believe that she has been assessed, moved and nothing said to anyone without a meeting with the family taking place and questions asked...
the family need to be notified and they will need to give financial information to certain parties...0 -
Moved her from where? Was she in hospital? What was wrong with her?Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
