Open link in current window instead of new tab/new window

Hello.

This may be a bit of a long shot as I only want it to happen with one site!

I'm an avid Pinterest user but when I click on a pin to go to the website it's been pinned from, it opens in either a new tab or window (I have my settings set to open links in new tabs though.)

I'd like it to be that when I click on a pin to take me to the original website it opens in the current window, but I can't find a way to do this without affecting other sites I visit too, and it seems like it's possibly a setting at Pinterest's end?

I'm using Firefox 37 on a Windows 8.1 machine. I know there's about:config but I'm not sure which setting I'd need to change if any.

Is there a way to do this, please? Thank you.

If you download the 'Tab Mix Plus' add on, it gives you the option to open links in current tab when clicking with mouse wheel.

On a firefox theme, firefox is now true Windows 64bit but only in beta form (version 38.0b1) for now. Runs fine for me and no issues:

NB uninstall any 32bit verion you may have first.

Wasn't aware the website set any hard and fast rules about opening links. So, AFAIK yes..

Can't you just 'right click' and select 'open in new window'??

You can code so a link opens up in the same window or a new one.

I see what you mean....AFAIK it over rides that.

He wants it to open in current window, but doesn't want to set a universal rule for all links to do that. That's how I understand it, but I could be wrong..:o
