Upgrading Santanders Everyday Current account to the 123 account via TopCashBack.

I have the Everyday current account and want to change to the 123 account. I can do this simply via my online banking, but ...
Can I do this via Topcashback ? or does that generate a fresh application for the 123 account ?
Also if I upgrade,do all my DDs and my salary get moved to the new account automatically ?

The offer requires you to open a Santander account and switch another account into it.

While it doesn't explicitly rule it out in the precise wording switching from one Santander account to another (e.g. from the everyday to the 123)would not is highly unlikely to qualify. This would be an internal upgrade in practice - not a switch.

So you would need to switch in an account from another bank. Several options for this - and no direct debits appear to be required although you would need to set them up once the 123 is opened to get the full benefits.
