I am selling a car which i have put a reserve price on it ,i have wanted to lower my reserve price but because it has only 1 day to go it is not allowing me to i am thinking now it is set to high.
My question is when people start to bid on it but if they do not bid up to my reserve does it allow you to get in touch with the highest bidder to accept there offer

It's been a lomg time since I set a reserve, but if I remember correctly the option is there to sell to the highest bidder if the reserve is not met - similar to a second chance offer.
Not sure if anybody else can confirm this is still the case?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I cannot understand why it is not letting me lower my reserve price because in the questions & answers it says you can alter it at any time.
Anyone got any ideas0 -
have you received any bids......? if so that may be whats stopping you lowering the reserve pricesmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Slightly OT - The minimum reserve price that can be set at £50. I have just bid £55 on an item that had a reserve set, and a starting bid of £50.
I am the highest bidder and the reserve has now been met! That was £1 of the sellers' money well spent on fees...<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
if an item has less then 12 hours, or if there is a bid on, you cannot amend.
The only thing you can do is add an additional note that you may consider a sale to the winning bidder, depending on how close they are to the reserve price, should it not have been met. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0
