I want to inject some colour into my lounge

My lounge is very neutral in colours, ie cream/beige walls, carpets, curtains.
My sofa is a pale green and I currently have cream cushions.
I'm pretty happy with it all, it's modern and clean but I feel I need some colour but tasteful. I don't want to add dark curtains as I dont want to close the room down, it's not that big so I thought I would change the cushions and was thinking of perhaps burgandy.
What do you think? Is this a good colour to go with?

Anything will go with cream/beige. Red is the complimentary colour to green so burgundy should sit fine with a pale green.
If you are going to change the cushions, it's good to have the colour runnig in other places in the room so it ties together. It could be a colour in a picture, then a vase or two; just so it doesn't look like you decided on random burgundy cushions and nothing else.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Have you thought about punching it up a bit with some brighter shades of green?
I have a similiar colour scheme to you, minus the pale green sofas. I painted one wall deep red to add colour - you could maybe do the same with a something like teal/apple green/acid green?
Funky coloured mats/coasters on the coffee table also look cool.
Finally, I bought a very large golden chinese fan in The Pier which I've hung on my wall - it is a real feature, and brightens up my room.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
I think a deep plummy/aubergine colour would go beautifully with your pale green and neutral colouring.
To keep it light and fresh, one wall painted in a complimentary pale green would be nice also.M.A.C.A.W member number 39
