Iweb fund selling question

On iweb i am invested in several funds that are valued just once per day.

If i choose to sell a fund is it sold at the price its valued at at the time i choose to sell or is it sold at the price its valued at once the sale actually takes place 2-3 days later?

Thanks,
Dean

The sales price will be the price at the next valuation date, when the fund will be sold. Settlement takes place a few days later but has no bearing on price sold. I think.

Just to add, most onshore unit trust and oeic funds are valued once a day often at 12pm. I believe iWeb have a 45 minute cut-off so if the fund values at 12pm then to get that day's sale price you would need to enter the trade before 11.15am. Settlement is usually 4 working days later though not always (some funds it is 3).

The prospectus should have the valuation time of the fund in it but a quick way of finding it is on trustnet or Hargreaves website.

It's called forward pricing - you issue an instruction prior to 11.15 am cut off in iWebb's case, 8.30 am for HL (believe). They (funds) are sold at the 12:00 same day price point, not guaranteed if you get close to the cut off with the instruction.
Miss those cut offs you get next days 12.00 pricing point.

Your first thought is you don't know what price you are selling at?
The price is available, not guaranteed, but mostly & correct in my experience, through Morning Star late the night before it arrives at the platforms. Maybe available on Digital Look and the like, too.
