I swap between a Flex and a Surge as the occasion suits.
Although I bought a Surge last year, in retrospect I wouldn't overspend right at the moment as it's a fairly fast evolving technology.
I'm picking up my charge tomorrow but I am wondering if I should have got the surge, even though it looks quite bulky. Would you recommend the surge?0 -
fitbit for the stairclimbing which ALL activity trackers should do. I have a fitbit one there are complaints about the wristband. I wear my One on a hypoallergenic light cord. Stairclimbing will change your life.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B

Hi everyone, I'm also thinking about getting an activity tracker and would appreciate help! I mainly want one that tracks calories accurately as I'm currently tracking all my exercise in myfitnesspal, which I'm pretty sure overestimates most exercises for me
So I was thinking that one with a heart-rate monitor would be best as that's supposed to give a better indication of how many calories you burn. I mainly do fitness classes like boxing and spinning - I've heard that some wristband trackers can get damaged/read inaccurately with exercises where you use your hands a lot though? Also, I do a lot of swimming and it would be great if I could find one that was properly waterproof so I could take it in the pool.
Is this asking too much? I'm not bothered by the extras like it displaying incoming calls and things like that. Of course the cheaper the better as well!Credit card debt: [STRIKE]£1200[/STRIKE] PAID OFF AT LAST! :j
Student Overdraft: [STRIKE]£1250[/STRIKE] £500

There's good news and bad news..... the good is that there IS a product that will pretty much do everything you want it to do it even integrates with MyFitnessPal. Unfortunately, the bad news is that its probably going to cost a lot more than your going to want to spend.0 -

Would it be awfully mean to say that made me smile/chuckle/laugh
The thought that a barometric altimeter in a Fitbit was of such quality that it has the resolving power of a single stair is just plain hysterical as is the 'air hole' not being waterproof!!
Sorry if I've offended you.0 -

Thanks everyone! I was looking at the Fitbit Charge HR and the Misfit Flash, but think I'll do a bit more research and wait and seeMr_Singleton wrote: »There's good news and bad news..... the good is that there IS a product that will pretty much do everything you want it to do it even integrates with MyFitnessPal. What is this fabled product? It's probably way over my budget but it could potentially go on the Christmas listCredit card debt: [STRIKE]£1200[/STRIKE] PAID OFF AT LAST! :j

Garmin Fenix 3 with HRM Run @ £400.
Will count your steps
The meters you swim
the miles you run with cadence and a multitude of other Run Dynamics
the miles you cycle plus cadence and HRM
Give you a meaningful 'recovery time' and fitness indication based on VO2Max.
All integrates nicely with Garmin Connect and MapMyFitness.
then I realised that the new VivoActive might be a better bet at £200 as it does much of the above. See

I'm using a battered old S4 as well and use it to connect to all of the Garmin's I have that uses BTS with no issues.
Have you tried un-pairing then re-pairing with the S4?0 -
