Sorry that's my mistake, it's 2 x classic plus accounts> I've read and re-read the terms today and it does say only one and an joint so I'm thinking she made a mistake yesterday. I think i'm going to add hubby to the second account just in case.
£2 sealed pot....continue from 2014 piling them in until termunda full!

    You are lucky then :).

If you have or think you might have the savings in the future, I wouldn't add your hubby to one of your accounts. I would get him to open his own one or a separate joint application.

Dont lose your luck on turning it into a joint account your allowed anyway.

They're definitely both classic accounts and I've the cash cards, pins and internet banking letters all to confirm. I appreciate ditching the isa isn't always the best option.

My circumstances are currently less than £1700 in my old one that i started saving before xmas. I figured with the new £15k per year I could stick it in the classic account until the rates pick up and will be well within this larger limited even in 18months time.

I called the customer services and confirmed definitely allowed two accounts and both will pay the 5% as long as both paperless and £500 being credited in and out.

I have just gone through the process of setting up a first Classic Plus account. It told me that I was only allowed 1 such account. I don't need 2 at the moment so I'm not going to test it.

The T&Cs changed fairly recently to permit only one classic plus. It's quite possibly that in practice they are not yet enforcing that limit. They hadn't been enforcing the 'paperless' requirement.

Given that CS have confirmed that you are OK, I wouldn't change one to joint. You may be able to appreciate having four accounts between you in future.
